Eric Whitacre needs no introduction. An international phenomenon, the Grammy-winning composer’s luminous and intensely beautiful music has captivated audiences across the globe. In the magnificent settings of Paisley Abbey, Whitacre conducts the world-class BBC Singers and BBC SSO through an inspiring programme of radiant choral music. Alongside his own compositions (including the now-classic Lux Aurumque), Whitacre presents music by living composers he particularly admires before the evening culminates with Mozart’s haunting Requiem — the masterpiece that inspired his very first composition.
